I didn’t know Billy personally, I have never met him. I am from New Zealand. However he became an important link in my family history. As my father was drowned in a boating accident when I was a baby, I had no idea of my paternal history. A DNA test showed I was 16% Chinese, and Billy was the only connection. His grandfather's grandfather and my grandfather's father appeared to be the same person. By knowing he was from the ‘village’ of Dongguan, I travelled there. I went to the Liu (presumably the original name) clan house and had an emotional meeting with people who were likely my distant relatives. Cheers. John Waddick. john@polychem.org
