Obituary of Pui Lan Chow
Pui Lan Chow, of Boston's Chinatown, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2023 at the age of 100 surrounded by her family.
Pui Lan and her family were mercantile business owners in Kowloon, Hong Kong. They immigrated to America and landed in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1969. The family adapted and flourished into the new country.
She was a staple in the Chinatown community for over 50 years. Wherever Pui Lan walked throughout Chinatown, almost every block people greeted her as "Beautiful Lady" because she was respected for her inside beauty, even more than her outside beauty.
She will be remembered for her lovely smile, kind-heartedness and generous spirit. We are forever graced by her love. Pui Lan wished for her family good health, happiness, independence, prosperity, and peace. She loved to play Mahjong, travel, and created so many wonderful memories. She lived a full life and will be forever missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lim Chow. She is survived by her sons, Danny (Lily) and Christopher (Ying). Her daughters, Anna (Lin Tai Chung), Linna (Harry Kwan), Elisa (Ray), Mai and Michelle (Geoffrey Hom).
Her grandchildren, Louis, Cindy, Wesley, Bonnie, Sonia, David, Faye, Calvin, Matthew, Taylor, Vivian, Sofya, Shanna, On, and Elizabeth. Her great-grandchildren, Cheuk Chi, Samuel, Hunter, Connor, Spencer, Simon, Noah. Grandsons-in-law, Son Thai and Anthony Wong. Granddaughter-in-law Barbara. Extended in-laws, Wei, Eva, and Helen.
Dear Mother:
In my heart are many memories
Of the loving things you've done
And today I want to tell you
That I'm thankful for each and every one
There is a special memory
I'd like to mention too
Ever since I can remember
I remember loving you
Pui Lan Chow's family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the love, concern, and kindness shown to them during this time of bereavement.
